This a collection of waifs and strays from when I first started recording my own playing. All instrumentals, some are multitracked on a creaky old Tascam, some are solo pieces. The recording quality is pretty variable, It was the beginning of my learning curve but there is a recogniseable element that I think is still in my playing now.
The influences are there, McTell's ragtime grooves and the childhood joyfulness of Freddie Phillips' Trumpton vibe is present as well as some more experimental moments
