When The End Of The World Is Over was written during the surreal period when nobody was out and the streets were deserted. Rewilding was taking place, the air was clear and people clapped on their doorsteps. A new appreciation emerged for key workers and people who worked with the public. There was a faint whiff of hope that maybe, just maybe, the world would be a fairer and kinder place after it was all done.
We know how that went, don’t we?
Dedicated to everyone who kept us sane and safe, not just my colleagues in the NHS, but also the artists, the shopworkers, the utility people, the cleaners, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers.
