Named after a stream which stretches through Altcar, via a pumping station, and down by the old Cheshire Lines towards Southport. On its travels, it joins with many other channels, keeping the Moss from flooding. I spent many happy hours tramping around and watching the birds and just generally exploring the great outdoors.
I’m not sure who Jane was but I remember how her waters laughed gently in the long summers of youth.
