In February 2021 a small meteorite made landfall in suburban Gloucester; it even made headlines for a day or two.
It had probably been out there since forever
only to end its journey by almost trashing a house.
The Winchcombe Meteorite, of carbonaceous chondrite,was found to contain 11% water and 2% carbon and is considered a significant find.
